Loving my Conrad. Built for the weather so I end up wearing it constantly, and the pockets are so practical they're almost suspicious. Genuinely didn't expect to reach for one jacket this often.

The Conrad takes the classic workwear silhouette and rebuilds it with intention — every seam, pocket, and stitch line chosen to work as hard as it looks good.

The Details

Considered, point by point.

  1. Structured Back Yoke with Bi-Swing Pleats

Structured Back Yoke with Bi-Swing Pleats

A paneled back yoke and vertical bi-swing pleats add classic workwear character while giving you extra freedom of movement across the shoulders and back.
  2. Reinforced Collar Topstitching

    Reinforced Collar Topstitching

The collar neck band feature multiple parallel rows of topstitching, a workwear inspired detail that does more than look sharp. This stitching adds rigidity along the collar's edge, helping it hold its shape and stand cleanly at the neck instead of softening or rolling out of place with wear and washing.
  3. Multi-Pocket Utility Layout

    Multi-Pocket Utility Layout

The Conrad is built to carry your life, not just complete your look. With thoughtfully placed exterior and interior pockets, it keeps your everyday essentials like phone, glasses, keys, wallet and more; organized and within easy reach. Side entry pockets keep your hands warm when it’s cold, while every pocket serves a purpose.

No more juggling loose essentials. Every pocket has a purpose, so everything has its place.
  4. Snap-Button Cuffs with Reinforced Stitching

    Snap-Button Cuffs with Reinforced Stitching

Each sleeve closes with a durable mother of pearl button, letting you cinch the cuff snug against the wrist or leave it open for a relaxed, rolled up look. Double needle topstitching along the cuff adds structure and reinforces the seam against everyday stress and repeated wear, so the cuff holds its shape wash after wash.
  5. Reinforced Underarm Construction

    Reinforced Underarm Construction

The underarm is one of the hardest working areas of any jacket and the Conrad is built to handle it. A clean, reinforced seam junction where the sleeve, body, and back panel meet reduces stress on the fabric during everyday movement, working so the jacket holds its shape instead of pulling or tearing at the seam over time.

Provenance

The chore jacket began as practical workwear in 19th-century France, where laborers, railway workers, and tradesmen wore durable, indigo-dyed jackets designed to withstand long hours of physical work. Its simple boxy cut allowed for easy movement, while multiple functional pockets kept essential tools and everyday items close at hand. Over time, its honest utility and understated design helped it move beyond the workplace. Artists, craftsmen, and designers embraced the chore jacket for its practicality and character, turning it into a timeless piece of menswear. Today, it continues to bridge workwear and everyday style, valued as much for its function as for its enduring design.
