The Kessler in Beige

Classic cut with clean minimal look
Regular price Rs. 5,750.00

The Beige Kessler is quiet craftsmanship made visible only to those who notice. Cut from soft yet firm double-knit Supima cotton jersey, it balances warmth, drape, and structure with composure.

The double-layer shoulder yoke and front shoulder seam define the posture subtly.
The self-fabric collar is stabilized using dual-fusion layering, firm at the band, flexible at the roll, to preserve a crisp profile that never feels rigid.

A triple-fold hem, bar-tacked at each side split, anchors the garment and maintains its balance over time. In beige, the craft feels calm and intentional, soft in tone, sharp in construction.

An ode to George Kessler

There are garments that clothe, and there are garments that hold form.

The Kessler Polo belongs to the latter.

Every seam is a line drawn with intent, every panel a plan of balance, restraint, and rhythm. It doesn’t shout for attention; it stands in quiet proportion.

Like Kessler’s architecture, it finds beauty in the load-bearing.The double yoke carries its weight with grace, the saddle front directs movement like a corridor of tension and release.

Light moves across its surface the way air moves through a vaulted space, deliberate, unseen, inevitable. It isn’t designed to impress. It’s engineered to endure.

For those who believe that structure is not rigidity, and silence, too, can have a voice.

About the photographs

Photographed by Ketan Pandit. Every product photo you will see on our website features pieces that have already lived a little. Each one has been worn by at least three testers and washed three times over. No pristine samples here, just the real thing.

Engineered with discipline.

The modern day version of the sport polo originated in Manipur, India, where it was called Sagol Kangjei.

Polo shirts were worn by men on horseback in Manipur, playing Sagol Kangjei, who needed something they could move and breathe in under the sun. Cotton. Soft. Short-sleeved. Practical.

In 1850s, British soldiers stationed here saw it, played the sport, and took both the game and the shirt back home.

Decades later, René Lacoste, a French tennis player, wanted something similar. A breathable shirt he could wear on the court without the stiffness of traditional attire. He designed one, borrowing the same piqué cotton knit and buttoned placket.

Interestingly, while the shirt takes its name from polo, it was tennis that truly made it famous. The polo began here. We’re just bringing it home, re-engineered for today.

200 GSM Double Knit Supima Jersey

The 200 GSM double-knit Supima cotton jersey in The Kessler Polo is engineered to outperform ordinary single knits in every way. Where single knits tend to twist, cling, and lose shape with wear, double knits are built like architecture, two layers of loops interlocked back-to-back for balanced tension and superior dimensional stability. The result is a denser, smoother fabric that holds its structure, drapes cleanly, and resists torque even after repeated washing.

Spun from extra-long-staple American Supima cotton, the yarn delivers exceptional softness, strength, and a subtle sheen that only improves over time. A 15% infusion of T400, a high-performance, bi-component stretch filament, adds recovery and resilience without resorting to spandex. This keeps the garment’s hand feel natural, breathable, and cool, while ensuring it always returns to its original shape.

Every inch of this fabric is tuned for equilibrium, structure without stiffness, comfort without compromise.

A COLLAR

THAT STANDS GUARD

The collar of The Kessler Polo is cut from the same self-fabric as the body, creating a seamless continuity of texture and tone. It’s a quiet refinement that avoids the jarring contrast of ribbed or synthetic collars found in ordinary polos. An additional reinforcing stitch line lends structure and permanence.

Beneath the surface, a split undercollar allows each side to move independently, so one edge never drags the other out of line. The result: collars that stay perfectly symmetrical, no matter how long you wear the garment.

The undercollar is built with a dual-layer reinforcement, a light canvas interlining for strength and a woven layer for flexibility. While the overcollar carries a fine woven fusible that defines its crisp roll. And whether you button up or leave it open, the fused woven placket ensures the front stays composed and true to form.

Mother of Pearl

Carved from the inner shell of pearl oysters, mother of pearl buttons have been prized for centuries for their iridescent depth and natural strength. Unlike plastic imitations, they age with character, catching light in subtle shifts of silver, blue, and cream. Each button is unique and is cut, shaped, and polished individually, making it a symbol of craftsmanship.

Stable Shanks

By creating a small thread shank beneath each button, the stitch lifts it slightly off the fabric, easing the button through the placket without stress.

This detail prevents pulling and puckering, ensuring both comfort in wear and longevity in construction.

Double Layer, Full Shoulder Yoke

The Kessler is built on a full-shoulder, double-layer yoke, a construction rarely seen outside tailored shirting. This engineered framework distributes tension evenly across the shoulders and chest, so the fabric drapes cleanly instead of collapsing under its own weight. The inner yoke layer reinforces structure, while the outer layer maintains flexibility and movement, ensuring the garment holds its line without stiffness.
